Spelling
We are learning to spell the words we most use when writing.
Please take one word from the list your child is working on and practise it. The next day you can do another. Keep going back and seeing if your child can spell the ones you have already practised. A good test is to ask them to write a simple sentence with the word in it.
Some ways to practise are: Say the word, look at the word, write the word a few times, cover the word and try to write the word. To make it fun, you can write it with felt tips, gel pens, chalk, find the word in magazines, make it with play dough, write it with a wet brush on concrete, write it in the sand- use your imagination!
